Falling Girls

This theatre for youth production was an English language premier of a Dutch play. In my first meeting with the translator and director, Manon van de Water, she told me four things:

ladders to the sky
soft with an edge
play it vertically
escher

I took these instructions and added my own ideas of surrealism, discovery, windows in the sky and twisted ladders to create an airy, multi-leveled playground for the production.
